The purpose of a hearing test is to determine how well a person can hear sounds. Taking such a test can determine if a person has hearing within the normal range, or if he or she will require the use of hearing devices.
In this test, the subject is placed in a soundproof room with a set of headphones. He or she will then listen a series of sounds that test the range of the person’s hearing. Only a professional audiologist is qualified to moderate such a test.
